Dreams come nightly as unedited expressions of the soul's stirrings, longings, suffering, and potential. Active engagement with our dreams through the cultivation of transformative dream practices offers a pathway to tap into and realize this soul potential. This workshop offers practices that facilitate exploring the role of dreams in catalyzing the soul's unfolding toward its deeper potentials.

This workshop is designed to be a one-day introduction to the principles and practices that guide Transformative Learning at the Institute of Imaginal Studies. Potential themes for the day include:

  • Dreaming and the mythic imagination;
  • Engaging dream imagination through multiple modalities;
  • Working with voices that censor dream material;
  • Enhancing dream access and recall;
  • Dialoguing with dream figures and images;
  • Ritualizing dreams in waking life;
  • Engaging the dreaming body;
  • Dreaming and deep memory.
